PAULDING – Paulding residents may be getting a 3% increase in water and sewer rates for the upcoming and following years.

All council members were present to hear the first reading of three ordinances that would potentially increase their water and sewer bills.

The first ordinance was 1446-12 which establishes the rates to be charged water consumers for service supplied by the water department. Section 1 of the ordinance reads: “Commencing Jan. 1, 2013 and each year thereafter, the Village Administrator shall be and hereby is authorized to incorporate an annual rate increase in an amount not to exceed three percent (3%).”
