County decides wind farm distribution

Progress Staff Writer

PAULDING – Earlier this month, the Paulding County commissioners passed legislation regulating the distribution of funds generated by the Timber Road II Wind Farm.

Ten entities will be sharing in the Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) money, which will begin coming into the county next year. These will total $698,775.

Wayne Trace Local School District will receive by far the largest share of the PILOT money generated by the wind farms. Their portion is to be 56.2166 percent. This amounts to $392,828.22 annually.
