Oakwood nears replacing fire truck

OAKWOOD – The Oakwood Village Council met on Nov. 26.

Fire Chief Kenny Thomas reported that he had gone to Texas and inspected and driven the fire truck that the insurance company is proposing to use to replace the one that went into the river.

He noted the truck had a few “battle scars,” but would be a good asset for the fire department.
