| Volunteers needed to be bell ringers |
|
PAULDING – The Salvation Army has been ringing the bells at Christmas time for many years. This year, you are not seeing or hearing the sounds of those bells. Why? According to Kim Tracy, Kettle Coordinator of Bell Ringers for Defiance and Paulding Counties, no one from Paulding County has offered to volunteer. He said, “I am looking for church groups, school groups and businesses and people to ring the bells for The Salvation Army. Otherwise, we just won’t have them in Paulding County. The program seems to be just dying off because of lack of volunteers.” In the past there have been bell ringers at Chief, ALCO, and Kammeyer's in Antwerp. Tracy is asking for volunteers to assist in this worthwhile project. If your group is interested or you and some friends, please call Kim Tracy at 419-956-2025. It is not too late to start “ringing those bells.” The Salvation Army Service Units assists individuals and families daily with emergency needs.
