Archers even at 3-3 heading into classic

By JOE SHOUSE

Sportswriter

After winning their last three games with a sticky defense that allowed just 36 point per contest the Antwerp Archers came up short to Liberty Center 53-42 last Tuesday. The road lose gives the Archers a 3-3 record heading into the Route 49 Classic on Friday.

Playing solid defense has been the Archers strength in recent outings but the Tiger growl proved too much in the first quarter. Antwerp came out of the gate and scored the first three points but it was all Liberty Center in the first period as they built a 15-3 advantage after eight minutes of play.
