Boys basketball –

Linclonview 43 Antwerp 40 (overtime). The Antwerp Archers stepped out of conference play and took on the Lancers at Lincolnview. The Lancers had a 38-32 lead with 2:24 remaining  but Antwerp scored the next six points to send the game in to overtime tied at 38 a piece.  Kaden Brumett led the Archers with 15  including three shots from behind the arc.

In non-league action Saturday night, the Wayne Trace Raiders outlasted visiting Lima Shawnee for a 79-65 victory over the Indians. Sinn paced Wayne Trace with 24 points and Kortokrax added 23 for the Raiders, who move to 11-1 on the season. Gudakunst also reached double digits with 13 markers.

Paulding 53 Ayersville 47. Paulding improved to 11-3 on the season.


Wrestling –

Wayne Trace participated in the 35th annual Van Buren Wrestling Invitational this past Friday and Saturday. The two-day tournament had 23 teams competing for top place honors. Wayne Trace's ultimate goal was realized when Carey was announced as the runners up and the team knew they were team champions. The team outcome was decided in the finals matches with Carey only picking up one win and Wayne Trace winning five of six.
