Antwerp hosts Raiders and Rams in track and field

ANTWERP—Antwerp hosted Tinora and Wayne Trace in a triangular track and field meet last Thursday, April 4,  with the Rams taking the top spot in both the boys and girls competition. The Tinora boys’ finished with 75 team points followed by the Raiders from Wayne Trace 54 and the Archers totaling 22.

Senior Ryan Kortokrax collected first place in two events to lead the Raiders. Kortokrax dominated the shot put and discus throw while team mate .Alex Kuhn finished first in the 110 high hurdles with Sinn taking high jump honors with a leap of 5’-6”.

Antwerp’s Cameron Huss finished first in the 400M for the Archer’s only individual winner.  Tinora captured first place in the four relays while taking first place in seven other events.

On the girl’s side, the Lady Rams took the team title with 90.5 team points followed by Wayne Trace 41, and Antwerp 26.5. For the Lady Archers Annie Miesle finished first in the 300 hurdles and second in the 100 hurdles and the 200M.

The Lady Raiders were led by Rylee Zartman who had a first place finish in the 400M and Erin Jewell jumping to a first place win in the long jump. The relay team of Abbie Shepherd, Madi Poling, Haley Saylor, and Gina Sinn captured the 4x400 and the 4x800 relays.
