ST. JOHN’S 11, ANTWERP 4

The Archers traveled to Lincolnview on Saturday for a double header against the home team followed by a contest with Delphos St. John. In their opening game the Archers shutout the Lancers 6-0 and then fell to DSJ 11-4.

Derek Smalley was on the mound for the Archers and pitched six innings. Smalley gave up five hits and collected two strikeouts. Andy Coleman finished off their opponent in the last inning striking out the sides.

“Derek did really well. His pitching forced several pop ups and fly balls that we were able to connect with for some easy outs,” said head coach Zac Feasby.
