The Paulding Panthers lost out to a 4-1 Spencerville team by one point last Friday night in a hotly contested 53-52 loss to the Bearcats.

Paulding jumped out to a 15-8 advantage at the end of the first quarter, but Spencerville came roaring back to tie the game at 26-26 at the halfway mark.

The second half was between two teams that are looking to be competitive in the Northwest Conference this season. When the smoke settled, Spencerville was on top and boasted a 4-1 record and 1-0 mark in conference play. Paulding’s record stood at 3-2 overall and 0-1 in NWC action.
