Mark and Lisa Holtsberry of Paulding are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Marcelle Holtsberry, to Joel Lynn Whitman, son of Bruce and Kara Whitman of Payne.

The bride is a 2007 graduate from Wayne Trace High School and a 2012 graduate from The University of Findlay, earning her bachelor of science and master of occupational therapy degrees. She is employed at the Community Memorial Hospital and Paulding County Hospital as an occupational therapist.

The groom is a 2007 graduate from Wayne Trace High School and a 2010 graduate from Northwest State Community college and earned his associate degree of applied business in business management with collegiate certifications: marketing assistant in marketing, advertising and salesmanship. He is employed at the Paulding County Courthouse as deputy auditor.

The high school sweethearts will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at half past three in the afternoon at the St. John Lutheran Church, Sherwood.

PAULDING – Louis and Carol Pracht will be celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary.

The couple was united in marriage on March 1, 1958 in the Paulding Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. Donald Teegarden.

They are the parents of two children, Deborah (Tim) Ryan of Swanton and David (Kelly) Pracht of Paulding.

They also have four grandchildren, Elisha, Emillee, Mesa and Dayton, and two great-grandchildren, Silas and Nehemiah (with the third on the way).

Louis and Carol are both retired and delight in spending time with their grandchildren, also attending their various sports and music activities at school and church.

The family will be dining out together to celebrate this special occasion.

PAYNE – Larry and Colleen “Sue” Strickler will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple was united in marriage on Feb. 23, 1963 in the Payne St. Paul United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Meredith Ball.

They are the parents of two sons, Randy (Kathy) and Lynn (Becky) Strickler, both of Payne.

They also have five grandchildren, Kayla, Katie, Spencer, Ashley and Trisha Strickler.

Both Larry and Sue are retired and spend their days watching their grandchildren play ball and being very involved in their church.

The family will host a party for them from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Payne St. Paul United Methodist Church. All who know the couple are invited to attend. They ask that gifts be omitted.

ST. HENRY – Katie Weis and Ben Eddy have announced their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Nancy and Randy Kramer of Burkettsville and Tom and Angie Weis of Celina. She is a 2005 graduate of St. Henry High School and a graduate of Bowling Green State University. She is employed by the Auditor of the State of Ohio.

Her fiancé is the son of Mark and Karen Eddy of Grover Hill. He is a 2003 graduate of Wayne Trace High School and a graduate of Bowling Green State University. He is currently employed by STAR Financial Bank in Fort Wayne.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. March 9, 2013 at the St. Henry Catholic Church. The custom of open church will be honored.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gunderman are happy to announce the marriage of their daughter, Staci Marie Gunderman, to Dylan Robert Haney, son of Jeff Haney and the late Debra Combs Haney.

Staci and Dylan committed their lives to each other in a private ceremony performed by Pastor Terry Martin on Jan. 26, 2013 at the Harvest Field Church of God.

A reception celebrating their union will be held in late April at the Paulding County Extension Center.

The bride is employed by Mercy Defiance Hospital and the groom is employed by General Motors.

The couple resides in Paulding.
