INFORMATION SUBMITTED Ann’s Bright Beginnings Preschool & Daycare recently visited the Paulding County Jail where they received a tour of the facility. These children have traveled all over Paulding this summer to various businesses where they have been welcomed inside and have learned about what our fabulous village holds! INFORMATION SUBMITTED The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Kieu, Travis, and Konnor Okuley (Okuley’s Pharmacy) as the guest speaker at the August 8, 2024, club meeting. The Okuley’s came at the invitation of Richard Kipp (Church Elder, Branch Christian Fellowship).
Limitless, the retail store by PC Workshop, hosted a fantastic community event around it’s store on North Williams Street. West Jackson and West Perry streets were closed off to make room for the festivities.

INFORMATION SUBMITTED PAULDING — The John Paulding Historical Museum will host the Canal Society of Indiana for its fall tour on Saturday, Aug. 17.
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI; formerly of GROVER HILL, OH: Mark Ruble, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at his home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Mark was born on November 6, 1967, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Gene H. and Ramona (Stuart) Ruble. He was a 1986 graduate of Wayne Trace Jr./Sr. High School. Mark enjoyed collecting trinkets and telling stories. He had many fond family memories. There wasn’t much that Mark loved more than his cat “Nickles”, except for his beloved Loretta Lynn. He was truly her biggest fan and shared his love of Loretta to anyone that would listen. Mark is survived by his mother, Ramona; brother, Brian (Deb); nephew, Nick (Kerry) all of Grover Hill; niece, Becky Ruble, Grimesland, NC; and great niece and nephews, Venna, Brooks and Ross Ruble. He also leaves behind many great memories with his lifelong friend, George Felty. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Gene in 2022. LATTY, OH: Helen M. Stoller, age 101, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Country Inn Enhanced Living, Latty, OH. Helen was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1923 in Paulding Co., OH to the late Roy and Marie (Boroff) Rhoad. On her birthday in 1942, she married Roy C. Stoller, who preceded her in death in 2012. They were married for 70 years. Helen spent her life creating a loving home for her family. Helen was the oldest member of the Latty Apostolic Christian Church. Helen is survived by her daughter, Jeanette (Tim) Poston, Gate City, VA; grandchildren: Michele (Dave) Orn, Brandon (Elecia) Wobler, Chad Stoller, Todd (Trista) Stoller; great grandchildren: Domanic Orn, DaKota Orn, Trinity Wobler, Zachary Wobler, Jacob Wobler, Regan Stoller, Trighton Stoller, Taelynn Stoller. Helen is also preceded in death by her sons, Alan and Stanley Stoller; grandson, SSG Zachary Wobler; brother, Lawrence Rhoad; sisters: Erma Zielke, Priscilla Schwartz, and Kathryn Clemens. Funeral service was held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Latty Apostolic Christian Church with church clergymen officiating. Burial will follow in Latty Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation was from 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Latty Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall. There was also visitation from 12:00 P.M - 1:00 P.M. on Sunday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the donor’s choosing.
