Poll: Ohio seniors list inflation, economy, Social Security as top issues

MARK RICHARDSON Producer, Ohio News Connection Recent changes on the political scene may have brought many younger voters into the fold, but a new poll shows that in Ohio, older voters could still make up an outsized portion of the electorate in November. A survey released this week by AARP Ohio finds that 89% of voters ages 50 and older say they are “extremely motivated” to cast a ballot this year.

Lovina and family celebrate the announcement of next family wedding

July 27 was grandson Ryan’s fifth birthday. He was excited to be 5 years old. Our whole family gathered on July 24 for supper for son Joseph’s 22nd birthday. On the menu was mashed potatoes, gravy, barbequed chicken, tomatoes, sweet onions, green peppers, hot peppers, colby cheese, zucchini, brownies, and ice cream. We all ate on our front porch. Sister Verena also came for supper and stayed a few days. This was a short notice to have everyone for supper, and surprisingly it suited everyone.

Ann’s Bright Beginnings learn more about 4-H

Ann’s Bright Beginnings Preschool & Daycare were recently visited by Aniyah Sajuan and her dog, Cooper, from the Paws on the Walls 4-H club. They heard all about taking a dog project in 4-H and then, were able to see Cooper perform his obedience routine. The kids were all very impressed. 2nd Annual Youth Business Opportunity at Flat Rock Creek Fall Festival

INFORMATION SUBMITTED Paulding County Economic Development (PCED), in collaboration with First Financial Bank, Ohio Small Business Development Center, Paulding Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Fall Creek Festival staff have again organized a Youth Business Showcase for young entrepreneurs to display and sell their products or services. Youth up to age 18 are invited to sign up for this year’s fall event.
