INFORMATION SUBMITTED VAN WERT – The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a semi rollover crash on US127 at Wren Landeck Road, Liberty Township, at approximately 7:43 A.M. on September 12, 2024.

Road construction affecting Paulding County drivers
INFORMATION SUBMITTED U.S. 24 pavement rehabilitation: The U.S. 24 pavement rehabilitation project began in May 2024 and is expected to continue through September 2025. The project will crack and seat the concrete pavement and resurface with asphalt on U.S. 24 in both directions between U.S. 127 and Baltimore Street. A slope erosion repair along the U.S. 127 eastbound entrance ramp is also included in the project scope.

Klopfenstein, Daniels introduce legislation protecting consumers from inaccurately labeled products
INFORMATION SUBMITTED COLUMBUS- House Bill 661, legislation that regulates imitation meat and egg products, has been introduced by State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R- Haviland) and State Representative Jack Daniels (R- New Franklin). With meat and egg alternatives on the rise, the bill will ensure that corporations within the imitation meat and egg products industry clearly define the difference between an agricultural food animal product and manufactured protein food products.

Ground broken for new Surack – Sweetwater Music Industry Building at Purdue Fort Wayne
INFORMATION SUBMITTED FORT WAYNE, Indiana — Tuesday’s groundbreaking ceremony on the campus of Purdue University Fort Wayne was capped off with some big news. The university’s $25 million, 26,000-square-foot facility that’s scheduled to open in time for the fall 2026 semester will be called the Surack – Sweetwater Music Industry Building.

Brody Rosswurm led the way for the red, white and blue with a 34 while Kyle Sutton and Connor Davis both recorded 37’s for the Raiders.

Big Green sweep past Wayne Trace
HAVILAND – Ottoville improved to 13-2 overall on the high school volleyball season as the Big Green coasted to a three-game sweep of host Wayne Trace. The Putnam County squad nipped the Raiders 25-23 in the opening set of the evening before holding off Wayne Trace for a 25-22 victory in game two.
Local runners take part at OG, Fayette
Paulding County cross county runners hit their respective courses on Saturday as Wayne Trace and Paulding ran at Ottawa while Antwerp competed in the Fayette Invitational. Wayne Trace and Paulding ran at the Ottawa Glandorf Invitational on Saturday with the Lady Raiders taking 12th while the Lady Panthers placed 13th.
