VAN WERT — Cheyenne Oechsle, a local social studies teacher at Vantage Career Center, has been awarded the Ohio Emerging Social Studies Teacher of the Year Award at the 68th annual Ohio Council for the Social Studies (OCSS) Conference held Oct. 14-15.
