Moore breaks record in Raider win

FORT WAYNE – Junior Lexi Moore broke the Wayne Trace girls basketball single game rebound record with 28 rebounds to lead the Lady Raiders to a 53-40 victory over Blackhawk Christian Monday night in Fort Wayne.The red, white and blue dominated the boards on the evening as Wayne Trace hauled down 56 rebounds compared to the Braves’ 19.

AntwerpCalvelage leads FJ over Antwerp”FORT JENNINGS – In non-league girls basketball action at Fort Jennings on Saturday, the host Lady Musketeers used a dominant third quarter to rally for a 55-36 win over Antwerp.The Lady Archers jumped in front early, taking a 16-10 lead at the end of one period before the Musketeers rallied in the second stanza.Fort Jennings doubled up the blue and white 14-7 in the period to rally and post a 24-23 advantage at the intermission.The black and orange then dominated the third quarter, pouring in 20 points while limiting Antwerp to six in seizing a 44-29 lead entering the final period.The Putnam County squad then wrapped up the game by outpointing the Archers 11-7 in the final period to wrap up the 55-36 victory.Autumn Calvelage led the way for Fort Jennings, hitting six three-point field goals and putting up 22 points in the contest.Maggie Pothast added 16 markers for the Lady Musketeers with Khloe Browning bucketing nine points in the contest.Addison Sarka picked up a pair of field goals for the Putnam County squad with Morgan Siefker and Reese Hellman finishing with one basket apiece.Antwerp was topped by Caroline Rohrs with 11 points while Briley Bagley and Raeley Franklin chipped in six markers apiece.Eliana Hormann and Clara Rohrs both scored four points for the Lady Archers with Madisyn Peters totaling three.
