The Van Wert Civic Theatre invites audiences to brace themselves for an evening of uproarious mishaps and theatrical mayhem with its upcoming production of The Play That Goes Wrong, opening May 1.
Defiance County Grand Jury
Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney, Morris J. Murray, has released the following information regarding recent Indictments returned by a Defiance County Grand Jury on April 8, 2025. Four individuals were indicted for Non-Support of Dependents, representing a total of over $100,000 in unpaid Child Support.

NSCC Foundation awards over $900,000 in Foundation scholarships
ARCHBOLD, Ohio – On Thursday, April 10, the Northwest State Community College Foundation proudly awarded a record 440 scholarships worth in excess of $900,000 to students from the region. The event theme was “Unlock Students’ Possibilities,” and it spotlighted scholarship recipients, donors and the community as well.

OH-111 closed for road repair following crash
On Tuesday, April 15, ST RT 111 just east of U.S. 127 was closed following a crash that damaged the road.

Village of Antwerp makes changes to water billing, appoints new council member
In a short April meeting of the Antwerp Village Council, a quartet of resolutions were passed. Among them was a resolution to change the way the Village bills for water. A new council member was also selected to fill the vacant seat.
