Northwest State raises over $63,000 for student scholarships at Green Carpet Event

ARCHBOLD, OHIO – The Northwest State Community College Foundation recently hosted its annual Green Carpet Event, “Unlock Students’ Possibilities,” and raised over $63,000. All proceeds from the event go directly to student scholarships. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2025 Making a Difference Awards, which were created by the NSCC Foundation as a way to recognize and celebrate individuals, businesses and organizations in the six-county area committed to improving their communities. This year’s recipients were Kathy Shaw (Wauseon) and Filling Homes (Napoleon).

2nd Annual Recycling Roundup Extravaganza Set for July 18–19

Paulding County residents are invited to take part in the 2nd Annual Recycling Roundup Extravaganza, a two-day event focused on cleaning up our homes and community while properly disposing of hard-to-recycle items. Hosted by the Paulding County Waste Management Education and Awareness program (WMEA), this event will be held Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19, across from the Paulding County Fairgrounds next to the Museum.

Lovina Shares About the Wedding

It’s already 10:30 p.m. this Monday evening. We had a late night, but we accomplished a lot today. Daniel Ray and Verena are moved into their new living quarters. Son-in-laws Dustin, Daniel, Daniel Ray and Alvin (Daniel Ray’s father), and two of Daniel Ray’s brothers were here today helping build the walls in part of the pole barn. They made a bedroom, and it already has a bathroom. The living room, dining room, and kitchen will be an open concept. Not everything is done, but they have moved enough in to make it livable for now.

PAULDING - Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative invites its members and their immediate family to join the co-op for its 2025 Member Appreciation Day on Saturday, July 12, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the co-op headquarters located at 401 McDonald Pike, Paulding, Ohio. Parking will be located behind the Paulding Putnam office in the Paulding County fairgrounds lot. This annual celebration is an opportunity for members to enjoy free food, prizes, and family fun while getting a sneak peek at what’s next for their co-op.
