Embracing the glorious goldenrod
Here we go again. That glorious, beautiful native plant – goldenrod – is being maligned in ways it does not deserve. It has endured decades, perhaps centuries, of being blamed for the sneezes and wheezes of those who have seasonal allergies.
Author Naomi Chapman to visit Defiance Public Library
DEFIANCE - Author and photographer Naomi Chapman will visit Defiance Public Library, 320 Fort St., on Oct. 11 from 10:30 a.m. to noon to share stories of her adventures photographing abandoned and historic places. Chapman is a YouTube content creator who enjoys exploring anything, including cemeteries, abandoned locations, and museums. She will also discuss the process of publishing her books, which include Abandoned Pennsylvania, Abandoned Detroit, and The Alley, among others.
