It’s Monday evening and a lovely one at that. The mercury on our thermometer has crept up to eighty degrees. The laundry dried really fast so it didn’t matter that I did other jobs around the house before I started with laundry.

PAULDING – The Paulding Panthers put up eight runs in the middle three innings and made them stand up in an 8-5 win over visiting Edgerton Tuesday night in Green Meadows Conference baseball action.
The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Lora Lyons,(Executive Director, United Way),as the guest speaker at the April 24, 2025, club meeting. Lora came at the invitation of Michelle Stahl ,(Michelle E Stahl, CPA, CGMA Bashore Reineck Stoller & Waterman Inc, Paulding, Ohio).Lora spoke to the Kiwanians about the many benefits that United Way brings to the community and those in need throughout Paulding County. United Way offers many opportunities for volunteers and those that are struggling. Donations to United Way are used to support communities and different projects in the county.
S.B. 109, a bill that would provide free breakfast and lunch to public and chartered nonpublic Ohio school students, currently sits in the Senate’s Finance Committee amid the state budget process.
The 2025 Paulding Exempted Village Schools Academic Hall of Fame induction will take place at the PHS Graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 18, beginning at 2:30 in the High School Gym. Two former Paulding High School graduates will be inducted.

The Green Meadows Conference released the list of Scholar Athletes for the Spring Sports Season. To be eligible for this honor, the athlete must be a senior, participate and letter in a recognized sport and have a 3.5 GPA or better after 6 semesters.
