It is a rainy Tuesday morning. We sure appreciate this rain, it has been really dry here. I need to get this column written. I wish I wouldn’t always wait until the last minute to write it. Life gets too busy sometimes and we need to stop and take time to read God’s wonderful words of encouragement daily. Without “His” love what would we have?
VAN WERT – Van Wert Live is thrilled to welcome Girl Named Tom back to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center stage this Sunday, October 19, at 7 p.m. The sibling trio, known for their stunning harmonies and heartfelt songwriting, last performed at the Niswonger in 2021 and now return with new music and an unforgettable live experience.
PAULDING - On October 5th, the Paulding First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) held a 25th Anniversary event at the church, located at 1233 Emerald Road in Paulding. Construction of the current church building was completed in October 2000, and the congregation moved from the old church at the corner of N. Williams and Caroline Streets to the new location.

For over 50 years, each October, the Latty Community and the surrounding area have generously donated money during Friends United Methodist Church’s annual “Trick or Treat/Harvest Soup Supper.” This year it will be an “Eat In” or “Drive-Thru” event on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
PAULDING - The Paulding Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents to join a once-in-a-lifetime travel experience while giving back to the community. In partnership with Collette Travel and Orange Grover Travel Company, the Chamber will host a 10-day “Shades of Ireland” group tour, June 19–28, 2026, offering travelers the opportunity to explore the best of Ireland in comfort and style—all while supporting the Paulding Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
PAULDING – McDonald's owner-operators throughout Ohio will raise funds for local high school athletics on October 23. During the High School Digital Fundraiser Day, 273 schools across the region, including Wayne Trace High School and Paulding High School, will earn 10 percent of all sales purchased through the McDonald’s app.
