The day started off with the heat rapidly rising. There an ever-present breeze that occasionally strengthened enough to provide relief for the many Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative (PPEC) customers that came to enjoy the activities of PPEC Customer Appreciation Day.

The Fourth Community Festival on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Latty Town Hall and Park. from 10:45 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., promises a day of fun and community spirit for all ages. There is no rain date. Focused on the Theme, “Bringing the community together by showing the Love of Christ,” the festival is organized by members of 3 local area churches: The Latty Apostolic Christian, Friends United Methodist, & Latty Zion Baptist.

On July 11, a small delegation from Crane Township traveled to Hillsdale, Michigan, to meet Louise Van Aken Worms, a great-great-great-granddaughter of Oliver Crane, the township’s namesake and one of its earliest settlers.
The Paulding County History Museum, located across from the fairgrounds on Fairground Drive in Paulding, will hold an antique farm machinery show on Saturday, August 2 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. The show replaces the museum’s annual chicken barbecue.
The Paulding Parents Club is sponsoring a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, July 19 in the parking lot of Chief’s in Paulding.
Paulding County Senior Center is seeing a need for more parking in the near future.
