PAULDING, OH — The Paulding Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Golf Outing on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Auglaize Golf Club, bringing together 14 teams for a day filled with sunshine, camaraderie, and community connection.
PAULDING – June 27, 2025 – First Financial Bank (Nasdaq: FFBC) teamed up with associates and community members on a successful book drive in May, with 189 books dropped off in bins at the First Financial locations in Paulding and Van Wert, and a grand total of 5,726 books dropped off in First Financial locations in four states. These books will now be donated to local schools, libraries and nonprofit organizations in areas served by the bank.
VAN WERT – The Van Wert County Agricultural Society is announcing open director seats for the upcoming election and reappointment cycle. Community members interested in serving on the Van Wert County Fair Board are encouraged to consider these leadership opportunities.
VAN WERT – Love INC of Van Wert County is excited to announce Anita Carvajal as the new Executive Director. The mission of Love INC is to mobilize the local churches to transform lives and communities in the Name of Christ. This is fulfilled by volunteers connecting those in need with services provided by local partnerships and services.

May was Mental Health Awareness Month, and the Paulding County Mental Health Coalition (PCMHC) joined with Antwerp Local, Paulding Exempted Village, and Wayne Trace Local schools to raise awareness, fight stigma, and promote access to mental health resources for all individuals in our community.
VAN WERT – This Friday night, Fountain Park will come alive with Let’s Get It On – A Tribute to Marvin Gaye, a dynamic live show that pays homage to the legendary Prince of Motown through the songs you know and love—like “Let’s Get It On,” “What’s Going On,” and many more.
The Age of Learning Educator of the Year Award honors a commitment to guiding students to success. Each of these semifinalists has demonstrated exceptional dedication, innovation, and impact in their teaching practices and communities. Their commitment to inspiring future generations sets a powerful example of what it means to strive for excellence in education.
The Caring & Sharing Food Pantry held two significant fundraising events this spring: the Meijer SimplyGive program in March and the Sweet Shop in April. Together, they generated over $18,000 for the pantry.
