PAULDING COUNTY - The Paulding Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of the NextGen Youth Artisan Market, a brand-new initiative debuting during the 2025 Shop the Village event on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025. This exciting program offers Paulding County High School students a unique platform to showcase and sell their artistic creations, highlighting the remarkable talents being cultivated in our local schools.

VAN WERT - The Niswonger Performing Arts Center is excited to announce that country music icon Lee Greenwood will take the stage on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 7:30 PM. The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Mark Holtsberry,(Paulding County Commissioner and Local Author),as the guest speaker at the February 20, 2025, club meeting. Mark came at the invitation of Lisa McClure,(Paulding County Commissioner and fellow Kiwanian). Mark spoke to the Kiwanians about the military history in Paulding County and about his new Book that will be available soon, Men on the Wall Volume 1. Mark has wrote many books about the history of local military within the county and has brought many Gold Star families peace by providing handmade stones for their loved one’s unmarked graves. Thank you Mark for your passion and for all that you do for military families.

The Wayne Trace Jr/Sr High School is performing “Elf The Musical” through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. You will be taken through the seven levels of the candy cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, then the Lincoln Tunnel to NYC where Buddy looks for his dad!
The Paulding County Carnegie Library is green with the anticipation of spring. Stop by the library and get a gardening book or two. Be sure to turn in your reading logs for the “S’mitten with Reading” winter reading program which ends March 1. The Paulding Library and all branches will close at 2:30 on Thursday, March 20 for Staff Development. Normal hours resume on Friday March 21st.
