INFORMATION SUBMITTED The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Megan Sierra, TJ McClain, and Thomas Arend (P.C. Workshop by Limitless) as the guest speaker at the September 12, 2024, club meeting.

OAKWOOD – A staple Paulding County venue for outdoor activities held a kickoff event here to introduce their fall line-up on Saturday. Paulding County Economic Development hosted a ribbon cutting for Auglaize Canoe & Kayak, on the Weller Farm, to unveil their two new corn mazes and many other events and opportunities for the 2024 fall season. The big attraction is the nine-acre corn maze. This year the maze will be patterned for the logo of “Limitless” in Paulding.

PAULDING, VAN WERT – The Van Wert County Economic Development office will be hosting a “Build your Future” event on September 18th, 2024 at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. All Paulding County schools are invited to attend this year’s event. This event will be divided into two sessions – a morning session + afternoon session.

The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Mike Zeedyk (Youth for Christ Clubs), as the guest speaker at the September 5, 2024, club meeting. Mike came at the invitation of Kevin Stahl (Stahl Stoller Meyer Insurance, Paulding, Ohio). Mike spoke to the Kiwanians about the many services provided throughout the Youth for Christ Clubs and the benefits that they have on our youth. YFC reaches young people everywhere and helps raise up lifelong followers of Jesus. YFC is kicking off Club 56 and Club 78 for the new school year. YFC offers a variety of activities during the summer and school year.

In March of this year Rustic Comfort Photography started taking applications for the Second Annual Sweet 16 contest. Last year, seven girls participated. This year, there was eight. The girls are from anywhere in the tri-county area. Each girl had a session fee, but most all had either the whole or partial fee paid for by a donation from Red Angel Pizza in Paulding. The girls all received a single session at various times and locations starting in April. Then there was a group session that was kindly donated by The Promises We Make, Wedding Venue in Montpelier Ohio. Parents and kids alike get to meet each other, with everyone having fun.

The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Tiffany Kime (Deputy Director of Programs, Defiance/ Paulding Consolidated Job and Family Services) as the guest speaker at the August 29, 2024, club meeting. Tiffany came at the invitation of Bret Mack (Fiscal Officer, Paulding County Carnegie Library). Tiffany spoke to the Kiwanians about many of the different programs offered by Defiance/Paulding Consolidated Job and Family Service.

The Paulding County Library will be closed on Monday, September 2 to observe Labor Day, all locations will open on September 3 normal hours.
