VAN WERT – Last Friday, the Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, in partnership with the Van Wert Police Department, teamed up in Van Wert to remove impaired drivers from roadways in Van Wert County.

VAN WERT - A two vehicle accident occurred at 6:12 pm Sunday afternoon. The fire department was called to the scene as one person was entrapped without injuries. The white pickup truck was west bound on Sycamore Street and an east bound vehicle made a left hand turn into the drivers side of the pickup truck. VAN WERT – The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle, fatal crash that occurred on June 17, 2025 at 1:04 p.m. The crash occurred at the intersection of Van Wert Decatur Road and US 224 in Pleasant Township, Van Wert County.
