RIDGE TOWNSHIP – The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash involving three vehicles in Ridge Twp., Van Wert County. The crash occurred on US 30 near mile post 16 at approximately 4:06 p.m. this evening.

ATLANTA, GEORGIA - Jeffrey Neumeier, from Van Wert and a student at Vantage Career Center (Van Wert), was awarded a Skill Point Certificate in Heavy Equipment Operation.



ARCHBOLD, OHIO – The Northwest State Community College Foundation recently hosted its annual Green Carpet Event, “Unlock Students’ Possibilities,” and raised over $63,000. All proceeds from the event go directly to student scholarships. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2025 Making a Difference Awards, which were created by the NSCC Foundation as a way to recognize and celebrate individuals, businesses and organizations in the six-county area committed to improving their communities. This year’s recipients were Kathy Shaw (Wauseon) and Filling Homes (Napoleon).
DEFIANCE– The Defiance County Democratic Party will sponsor the 14th annual NWO Democratic Picnic. The event, “Picnic with a Purpose,” will take place on Saturday, July 12 from noon-4 at UAW Local 211 Park, 2120 Baltimore St.

Paulding County residents are invited to take part in the 2nd Annual Recycling Roundup Extravaganza, a two-day event focused on cleaning up our homes and community while properly disposing of hard-to-recycle items.
