VAN WERT — Rain dampened this year’s Cole Motors Freedom Truck Meet, held at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds over the weekend, with many of the activities canceled.

VAN WERT – The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle, fatal crash that occurred on June 17, 2025 at 1:04 p.m. The crash occurred at the intersection of Van Wert Decatur Road and US 224 in Pleasant Township, Van Wert County.

VAN WERT — In a county that is heavily Republican and pro-Donald Trump, the scene Saturday afternoon at Fountain Park and along South Washington Street in Van Wert was probably a surprise to many.
VAN WERT - The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, in partnership with the Van Wert Police Department, will team up tonight, in Van Wert, to remove impaired drivers from roadways in Van Wert County.
ANTWERP – Meyer Avenue will be the name of the new street that leads into a development on the south side of Antwerp. The Antwerp zoning board approved the name and sent it forward to the village council. Council approved the Meyer Avenue name at a recent meeting.

PAULDING – The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash involving a passenger car and bicyclist in the Village of Paulding, Paulding County. The crash occurred on Emerald Road near Tom-Tim Drive at approximately 6:17 p.m. this evening.


PAULDING – Paulding Village Council heard good news about the pool and learned of a setback in its efforts to clean up junk during its regular meeting on Monday, June 9.
