VAN WERT—Van Wert Police received a call just before 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024, reporting the body of a man, dead, in the wooded lot of the old reservoir on the corner of Blaine and Anderson Streets.

On August 3, 2024, we held our Annual Cancer Golf Outing at Pike Run Golf Course. Due to the efforts and kindness of many individuals and businesses, we were able to donate $30,000 to the Putnam County Cancer Assistance Program.

And the hits just keep on coming. I briefly mentioned the aurora borealis last week, unaware that we would get to witness them here again so soon. Last Thursday night had my husband and me out in the field behind our house, marveling at the sky.
