Brown, farmers discuss severe drought
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) hosted a news conference call on Wednesday, September 18 with farmers and other leaders in Ohio agriculture to discuss the severe drought stretching across Southeast Ohio and share resources available to affected farmers. Ohio is currently experiencing the worst drought in the state since the Dust Bowl. Last week, Brown also hosted a webinar in partnership with USDA’s Farm Service Agency to help connect farmers with federal resources related to the drought.
State Patrol investigating traffic crash in Paulding County
CECIL– The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle, fatal traffic crash that occurred on South Main Street near the intersection of Plum Street in the Village of Cecil.

Madison Good graduates from Valdosta State University
VALDOSTA, Georgia- Madison Good of Paulding, Ohio, has earned the Master of Library and Information Science from Valdosta State University. More than 550 students completed their degree requirements at VSU during Summer Semester 2024.
