Panthers and Archers lead county
EDGERTON – The trio of Paulding County schools took part in the Edgerton Cross Country Invitational on Saturday with Antwerp and Paulding leading the way. Paulding was the top finisher in the varsity boys division as the Panthers placed seventh while Antwerp took ninth and Wayne Trace was 11th.

Panthers, Raiders post shutouts in week five
A pair of Paulding County high school football teams posted shutouts Friday night as Paulding and Wayne Trace each recorded Green Meadows Conference football victories over the weekend. At Ayersville, the maroon and white moved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the league with a 35-0 blanking of the host Pilots.

Lady Raiders win own invite
PAYNE – The Wayne Trace Girls Golf Invitational was held Thursday at Pleasant Valley Golf Course outside of Payne where the Lady Raiders made it two tournament wins this in capturing their own invitational championship.

Ohio McDonald’s restaurants to donate 10 percent of sales to local high school athletics
OHIO – McDonald’s owner operators throughout Ohio will be raising funds for local high school athletic programs on September 26. During the High School Sports Digital Fundraiser Day, 261 schools across Ohio, including Wayne Trace High School, will earn 10 percent of all sales purchased through the McDonald’s app.

Raiders sweep way to GMC Golf Titles
WAUSEON – The Green Meadows Conference boys and girls golf tournaments took place at Ironwood Golf Course Tuesday with both titles going to Wayne Trace as the Raiders swept the team championships. The Lady Raiders recorded a 383 to capture the title while Ayersville finished second with a 400.
Bulldogs rally in second half to cruise past Archers
EDGERTON – Edgerton closed the game with thirty-five consecutive points as the Bulldogs came from behind to post a 4221 win over Antwerp in Green Meadows Conference football action Friday night in Williams County.
Local runners take part at OG, Fayette
Paulding County cross county runners hit their respective courses on Saturday as Wayne Trace and Paulding ran at Ottawa while Antwerp competed in the Fayette Invitational. Wayne Trace and Paulding ran at the Ottawa Glandorf Invitational on Saturday with the Lady Raiders taking 12th while the Lady Panthers placed 13th.
Big Green sweep past Wayne Trace
HAVILAND – Ottoville improved to 13-2 overall on the high school volleyball season as the Big Green coasted to a three-game sweep of host Wayne Trace. The Putnam County squad nipped the Raiders 25-23 in the opening set of the evening before holding off Wayne Trace for a 25-22 victory in game two.
