Crosby leads WT to third place finish

CELINA – The Wayne Trace Lady Raider golf team made the trip to the Celina Lynx Golf Club on Friday as the red, white and blue took part in the Celina Girls Golf Invitational. Ella Crosby paced the way for the red, white and blue with a round of 92 to help Wayne Trace record a third-place finish in the team standings.

Dealey lifts Knights to win

VAN WERT – Matthew Dealey of Crestview recorded a 35 to lead the Knights to a tri-match win over both Lincolnview and Paulding in boys golf action at Hickory Sticks Golf Course outside of Van Wert. The Knights finished with a 171 while the Lancers took second at 178 and the Panthers placed third with a 182.

GMC rolls to win over BBC

WOODBURN – The annual boys high school golf season opener took place Thursday at Pond-A-River Golf Course outside of Woodburn as the Green Meadows Conference recorded a 2411 victory in match play against the Buckeye Border Conference.

Lancers win tri-match

PAYNE – In a boys high school golf tri-match, visiting Lincolnview picked up victories over both Fairview and Wayne Trace Friday at Pleasant Valley Golf Course outside of Payne. The Lancers totaled a 174 as a squad, led by Chayse Overholt, Boston Bailey and Lucas Grubb with a 43 each.
