PAULDING, OH: Donald A. Whirrett, age 68, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 at his home in Paulding, OH.

Don was born on June 11, 1956 in Defiance Co., OH to Alan and Deloris (Reinhart) Whirrett. He graduated from Paulding High School and then went on to graduate from Ohio Northern College in Ada, OH. Don worked for Zeller’s while they were a part of the test track in Marysville. He then went to Bellefontaine and worked several years at a Dodge dealership. He also worked for Busch Air Conditioning and Furnace Company in Indian Lake. Don finally ended his career as a co-owner of Don’s Dairy in New Hampshire, OH. In 2000, Don retired and moved back to Paulding.

Don is survived by his mother, Deloris Whirrett and many loving cousins.

Don was preceded in death by his father, Alan Whirrett.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, Paulding with Father Austin Ammanniti officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding Township, OH.

Visitation was from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Den Herder Funeral Home with a wake service at 6:30 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be made in Don’s memory to the John Paulding Historical Society or Friends of Felines Cat Rescue in Defiance.
