WOODBURN, IN: Geraldine M. “Jerri” Rodman, age 82, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne, IN. Jerri was born on August 14, 1942 in Paulding, OH to the late Lawrence E. and Alice V. (Pollard) Phlipot. On June 13, 1964 she married the love of her life, Robert E. Rodman, who preceded her in death in 2015. Jerri spent her life creating a loving home for her family, while also working as an elementary school teacher and spending some time working at Lincoln Life. She was a 4-H leader for many years. Jerri was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church in New Haven, IN where she was a part of the Rosary Sodality. Jerri will be lovingly missed by her children: Michael (Loretta) Rodman, Armington, IL; Michele (Byron) Handshoe, Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Joseph (Sandy) Phlipot, Paulding, OH; sisters: Eleanor (Douglas) Weiss, Ambler, PA; Mary Alice (John) Stahl, Clarksville, TN; grandchildren: M. Christopher (Lydia) Rodman II; Kiersten (Connor) Boolman; Joshua Handshoe, Jeremy Handshoe, Jerod Handshoe, Petty Officer Third Class Jackson Handshoe; great grandchildren: Michael Christopher Rodman III and Owen Michael Boolman. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church with Father Tyrell Alles officiating. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery, Blue Creek Township, OH. Visitation was from 2:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Den Herder Funeral Home with a wake service at 7:30 P.M. There will also be visitation from 9:30 A.M. until time of services on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in Jerri’s memory to St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church.
