Jane Alta Stouffer, 67, of Jackson, Michigan passed away, while in the care of Fowler House Adult Foster Care Home, October 12, 2024, with her loving family and Fowler House Staff by her side. She was born May 22, 1957, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan to John and Ida (Lawton) Stouffer, of Onondaga, Michigan. Jane lived at the Fowler House for over 20 years. The simple things in life brought Jane immense joy. She loved stuffed animals, stealing food off other people’s plates, and the crinkling sounds of the wrapper off cigarette packages. Jane is survived by her siblings: Glenna (David) Fugate, Teresa (Jeff) Brown, Sue (Carl) Hoag, Kathy (Robert) Harris, and Diana (Corky) Helm; nieces and nephews: Matt and Richard Fugate, Angela Hamilton, Allison (Doug) Higelmire, Nicole (Ryan) McIntosh, Kaitlynd (Tommy) Shaffer-Cole, Lucas Helm, Carlee (Kyle) Engel, and John and Jerry Hoag; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jane’s life will be held November 10, 2024, at 2:00pm at the Adams-Rockey VFW in Springport, 230 Mechanic St., Springport, MI. 49284. Friends and family are invited to share stories and treasured memories of Jane. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow.
