Mary Holtsberry 1934-2025

PAULDING, OH: Mary Justine Holtsberry, also known as Justine, passed away in her home on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Justine was born on October 23, 1934, at home on the farm where she grew up in Jackson Township, Paulding County, Ohio. The daughter of Orvel Lester and Florence Agnes (Manson) Keck. She walked to school as a child until high school, where she was educated at Paulding High School until graduation in 1952. After marriage, she raised her three children on her own, teaching them that hard work pays off, a lesson she learned from her father while helping on the farm. Justine worked for the former Zeller Corporation from 1966 to 1999, upon her retirement. Elected in 1972, she served as Clerk Fiscal Officer for Jackson Township for 7 terms, or 28 years, until she retired in April of 2000. Justine enjoyed her flowers, working out in the yard, reading spiritual and positive thinking books, and just sitting in the sun on the back or front porch, as she would say, “taking in the sun”. She enjoyed talking on the phone or a visit from her church friends. Justine attended First Presbyterian Church in Paulding, OH.
