March for Life to be held in Defiance Jan. 22

The annual March for Life will be held on January 22 at noon at the Defiance County Courthouse. The march is sponsored by Mother Teresa Respect for Life. The purpose of the March for Life is for participants to walk and stand up for unborn children who cannot speak for themselves. The march will start with prayer by Father David Cirata, pastor of St John St Mary’s Catholic Churches Defiance. Susie Blank will sing the Star Spangled Banner. A police escort will lead participants from the Defiance County Courthouse to the Monument of the Unborn at St John’s Catholic Church.Jamie Blank will host the march and lead a prayer for life at the monument.

4-H Youth Development Educator speaks to Kiwanis

The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Michael Schweinsberg, Extension Educator, 4-H Youth Development at The Ohio State University College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, as the guest speaker at the January 9, 2025, club meeting. Michael came at the invitation of Christopher Johnson, Financial Advisor, Osaic Wealth, Inc.

Trails coming to Paulding County

PAULDING, OH. - Paulding Soil & Water Conservation District, and Paulding Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the Paulding County Commissioners, are excited to announce that $107,500 has been awarded for recreational trail development in the Paulding County community.

Antwerp Elementary gets book vending machine

Antwerp Elementary School is excited to announce that they now have a book vending machine located in the Think Tank of their Innovation Center. The machine was made possible thanks to many people, especially Title 1 Teacher Mrs. Pam Bailey. Organization and business sponsors included Antwerp VFW Post #5087, Antwerp PTO, Antwerp Community Development Committe (ACDC), PPE Trust, and Antwerp Exchange Bank.
