Raiders split at Pike Run

OTTAWA – Kyle Sutton shot a 37 to capture medalist honors and the Wayne Trace Raiders split by beating Riverdale but falling to Leipsic in action at Pike Run Golf Course Wednesday evening. The host Vikings won the match with a 166 to nip the Raiders, who finished with a 171.

Archers fall to Knights

VAN WERT – Braylen Moreno shot a 40 and Zaine McMichael carded a 44 but it wasn’t enough as the Antwerp boys golf team fell to Crestview 171186 at Hickory Sticks Golf Course Monday evening. Griffin Kosch chipped in a 48 for the Archers with Draven Baumert and Dylan Hahn both recording a 54.

Panthers sweep Cougars

PAULDING – The Paulding Lady Panthers opened the 2024 high school volleyball season with a straight set sweep of visiting Van Wert Monday night at the ‘Jungle.’ The maroon and white cruised to a 25-8 victory over the Cougars in the opening set before coasting to a 2512 win in the second set. Paulding then closed out the night by defeating Van Wert 25-17 in game three.

Lady Archers open season with win

HOLGATE – The Antwerp Lady Archers opened the 2024 high school volleyball season with a four-set victory over host Holgate Saturday in Henry County. The blue and white won the opening set 25-17 before the Tigers responded to take the second set 25-21.

Sutton pushes WT past Panthers

PAYNE – Kyle Sutton shot a 33 to capture match medalist honors and the Wayne Trace Raiders defeated county rival Paulding 166-177 Thursday at Pleasant Valley Golf Course. Connor Davis added a 42 for the red, white and blue with Tyson Gerber recording a 44 and Konnor Wannemacher carded a 47 to complete the Raider scorers.
