The day started off with the heat rapidly rising. There an ever-present breeze that occasionally strengthened enough to provide relief for the many Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative (PPEC) customers that came to enjoy the activities of PPEC Customer Appreciation Day.

Husted leads bipartisan, bicameral bill to crack down on human trafficking
“We must rescue victims from abuse and stop traffickers from preying on vulnerable teens, children, women and men. Department of Labor employees are on the ground conducting workplace inspections, and they need to be able to spot human trafficking behavior in real time. That’s why our bill would equip DOL employees with the education and training necessary to quickly recognize trafficking and report it to law enforcement.”

UNOH to add women’s flag football as varsity sport
LIMA — The University of Northwestern Ohio is proud to announce the addition of Women’s Flag Football as its newest varsity sport, set to begin competitive play in Spring 2027. The new program comes as part of the university’s ongoing commitment to expanding athletic opportunities for female athletes.
