Ohio State Lima announces 2025 WBL Scholastic Bowl Tournament results

Defiance and Shawnee took home top honors in the Western Buckeye League Scholastic Bowl Tournament held Friday, May 2, 2025, at The Ohio State University at Lima. Defiance swept its matches to win both the varsity and junior varsity competitions with Shawnee as runner up in both. This is the second year in a row that Defiance has won the varsity tournament.

Ohio Issue 2 passes easily

Ohio’s Issue 2 special referendum easily passed on March 6. The issue will fund public infrastructure projects by issuing bonds.

Strong showing at the Wayne Trace District Art Show

Almost 500 people came out to support their Raider artists at Wayne Trace on Saturday, April 26 at the annual District Art Show. Best in Show award winners included Wayne Trace senior Aiden Lee and junior Natalie Richie along with Grover Hill Elementary’s Emma Hartwig and Payne Elementary’s Kaylee Miller.
