Regina Rene (Goings) Herzig went to be with the Lord on August 23rd, 2024. She was born on May 22, 1972, in Paulding, Ohio to Stanley and Viola (Copeland) Goings.She came into this world with her eyes wide open reaching for the sky.

Regina was highly active throughout her entire life, she enjoyed softball, track, basketball, and volleyball. She studied psychology, earning a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University, and later completing a nursing degree from North Central Texas College. Regina was passionate about decorating homes, loved family game nights, listening to music, and reading. Most of all, Regina loved raising and spending time with her three children and watching them grow into young adults. She is preceded in death by her loving father, Stanley R. Goings, Sr. She leaves to cherish her husband of 30 years, Steven J. Herzig; two beloved sons, Grant S. Herzig, Adam R. Herzig, and one beloved daughter Haley E. Herzig. Her adoring mother, Viola (Copeland) Goings; her dear brother Stanley R. Goings Jr., and nephews Braxton, Aiden and Urban Goings, and her father-inlaw John W. Herzig of Swanton, Ohio. A celebration of life will be held at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, Ohio on Saturday, September 7th at 11 am with a gathering of friends and family from 10 am until time of services.
