PAULDING, OH: Susan Marie (Thomas) MacDonald, age 76, of Paulding, Ohio passed peacefully on July 17, 2025 surrounded by family. 

Susan was born on August 30, 1948 in Zulu, Indiana to Alfred and Celeste Thomas.  She married John “Jack” MacDonald on July 8, 1995. 

Sue spent her life devoted to her husband, family, friends, and her faith. She will be remembered for her kind heart, sense of humor, love for adventure traveling the country with her husband who was truly her best friend. Sue will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her husband, John “Jack” MacDonald, her daughter Kimberly (William) Norris, son Richard Brock, stepson Thomas MacDonald, stepdaughters Lisa (Christopher) Hutker, Mindy Sandys, Amy (Ted) Couch, her siblings Kathy Clevenger, Rita Rhymer, and Jerry Thomas. 

She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 6 great, great  grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who she adored. 

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Celeste, her sisters Sharon Wells, Carol Gilliom, her brothers, Robert Thomas and Donald Thomas, stepsons, Randy MacDonald and Jon MacDonald, and granddaughter, Tori MacDonald. 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 1 pm with viewing from 11 am-1pm at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, Ohio. Burial service to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to join in honoring Susan’s life. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Sue’s memory to Parkview Inpatient Hospice.
