Paulding Master Gardener Volunteers have a variety of plants to offer at annual sale
PAULDING – Spring in Northwest Ohio brings color, pollinators, and the promise of homegrown vegetables—things the Paulding County Master Gardener Volunteers (MGVs) look forward to each year. The group is excited to announce that the 24th Annual Master Gardener Volunteer Plant Sale will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, or until sold out. The event will take place at the Block Building on the Paulding County Fairgrounds, located at 503 Fairground Drive, Paulding, OH 45879.

Plant now for a pretty pumpkin display this fall
There is no doubt that this has been one of the warmest springs in recent memory. Though there is no guarantee that we will not get a late frost, the last time we had temperatures low enough for one was April 17th, when we dipped to 32 degrees. Our average last frost date generally falls between May 1-10.

Long winter’s journey into spring
I don’t know about you, but this winter seemed like it lasted for more than the usual three months to me. The winter was not the worst we have ever had, but the cold, gray days put me in a funk that I find hard to shake until we get the earliest days of spring weather like we did last week.
Community Garden coming to Scott
SCOTT - At the February meeting of the Village of Scott Council, a proposal was made to create a community garden to benefit the residents. It was expressed that a community garden would help strengthen a sense of community among the village’s residents, create a space of beauty in the village and provide fresh produce for those residents needing it.
