Hicksville Police respond to bomb threat

HICKSVILLE - On May 8, 2025 at 3:12 p.m., the Hicksville Police Department received a phone call from Hicksville Exempted Village Schools about a student making a statement about having a bomb. Hicksville Officers responded to the school and found that a student did make the statement. A 16-year-old juvenile was taken into cutody and was taken to Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention Center. Charges will be filed with the Defiance County Prosecutor’s Office.

Fugitive arrested in Hicksville

On 02/24/2025 at approximately 7:40 p.m., Hicksville Police Department Officers were dispatched to a Domestic Disturbance at 651 W. High Street, El Grande Estates in the Village of Hicksville. Adrian San Juan,age 19, and the mother of their child had engaged in a verbal argument. San Juan had been living in in Hicksville, and he is originally from the State of South Carolina. San Juan fled the area before officers arrived.
