Husted supports aggressive sanctions against Russia

WASHINGTON – Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) joined Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and a bipartisan group of senators in introducing legislation to levy primary and secondary sanctions against Russia and actors that support Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.

With JD Vance taking the oath of office on January 20 to become the nation’s Vice-President, the responsibility to name a successor fell to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. The Governor stayed close and chose his Lieutenant Governor, Jon Husted to fill the seat until 2026.
