The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have T.R. Echols (Local Author and Pastor) as the guest speaker at the June 12, 2025, club meeting. T.R. Echols came at the invitation of Elecia Wobler (Owner, Keepsake Beads by EAW & Boutique). T.R. Echols spoke about how he transformed his childhood storytelling into a published work that reaches young readers and listeners alike. Inspired by his 3 young boys at the time of creation. His heartwarming tale, Tenuke the Eskimo, is available both as a beautifully bound hardcover edition and as a fully dramatized audiobook featuring Hollywood talent.

No Wrong Door speaks to Kiwanis

The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Cathy Ruiz (Admin/Sero Coordinator, Parent Mentor, Western Buckeye,ESC and Paulding County Family & Children First Council), Lindsey Manz( Director of Nursing, Paulding Co Health Department), Anne Dunn( Outreach Coordinator, Tri County ADAMHS Board), as the guest speakers at the May 22, 2025 club meeting. Cathy, Lindsey and Anne came at the invitation of Ron Goedde (CEO Paulding County Hospital). These amazing ladies spoke to the Kiwanians about Paulding County’s No Wrong Door Community Resource Event. The No Wrong Door event is an agency to agency approach within the county departments and community partners to increase awareness of and to direct people to services that best meet their needs.

The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Rachel Eicher,(Director of Teaching and Learning, Western Buckeye), as the guest speaker at the May 29, 2025 club meeting. Rachel came at the invitation of Tricia Taylor ,(Treasurer CFO, Western Buckeye.) Rachel spoke to the Kiwanians about the Cost of Poverty Experience, (COPE). COPE is a simulation experience that WBESC offers to the community. It gives participants an idea of what people go through who are experiencing poverty.

PPEC Lineman speaks about Project Indiana to Kiwanis

The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Terry Minic,(Journey Lineman, Paulding Putnam Corporative ),as the guest speaker at the March 20, 2025, club meeting. Terry came at the invitation of Richard Price,(CEO, Pauling Putnam Corporative). Terry spoke to the Kiwanians about Project Indiana and the amazing things that the organization are doing for less fortunate communities in other countries. We take the modern conveniences electricity provides us for granted. But many families in remote areas of the world live the simplest of lives. They endure extreme hardships because electricity isn’t available. Through Project Indiana, Indiana’s electric cooperatives are empowering global communities one village at a time.

Holtsberry speaks on Paulding military history

The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Mark Holtsberry,(Paulding County Commissioner and Local Author),as the guest speaker at the February 20, 2025, club meeting. Mark came at the invitation of Lisa McClure,(Paulding County Commissioner and fellow Kiwanian). Mark spoke to the Kiwanians about the military history in Paulding County and about his new Book that will be available soon, Men on the Wall Volume 1. Mark has wrote many books about the history of local military within the county and has brought many Gold Star families peace by providing handmade stones for their loved one’s unmarked graves. Thank you Mark for your passion and for all that you do for military families.
