ince I started this job almost two years ago, I have wanted to be certain that our readers get their money’s worth. The price of Progress isn’t too much compared with many other newspapers across the country, but the concern is always that for what you spend, you get enough that it seems worth it.

If Progress readers in 1949 could have looked into the future 75 years, they certainly would have been shocked at the difference in today’s newspapers.
In a departure from my usual nature-related column, this week I am joining in on the celebration of 75 years of the publication of the Paulding Progress.
When I realized that the Progress was turning 75, I was convinced something had to be done.
