PAULDING – Week six of the high school football season saw the Paulding Panthers take control of the Green Meadows Conference race with a thrilling, come-from-behind 36-31 victory over Fairview Friday night at Keysor Field.
DEFIANCE – The girls' golf season in Paulding County was extended at least another week on Tuesday as Wayne Trace punched its ticket to the district with a third-place finish in the sectional at Auglaize Golf Course.

PAULDING – All three Paulding County volleyball teams picked up victories last week as the squads move through Green Meadows Conference action and get ready for Ohio High School Athletic Association tournament play next month.
GROVER HILL – The annual Paulding County cross country meet was held last week at Welcome Park in Grover Hill with the Antwerp girls and Paulding boys claiming team titles.
EDGERTON – Through one half of Friday’s high school football game in Williams County, the Wayne Trace offense had only recorded 72 yards of total offense and registered zero points.
Wayne Trace Senior Girls Golfer Raegan McGarvey was named the Green Meadows Conference Player of the Year by finishing atop the points standings for the 2025 season. McGarvey shot a 39 in the first GMC match of the year before posting a 40 in the second GMC match of the season. The Lady Raider senior then wrapped up the first place finish with a score of 92 at Tuesday’s Green Meadows Conference tournament to defeat second place golfer Adelaida Gill of Tinora 171-174 for the season.
HAVILAND – The Paulding Panthers remained unbeaten on the season and posted their third straight victory over rival Wayne Trace with a 39-7 victory Friday night at Raider Field.
HAVILAND — Crestview dominated from start to finish in a 25-7, 25-15, 25-13 win over Wayne Trace Thursday. The Lady Knights are now 3-2, the Lady Raiders 0-5.
