The Raiders came to the Jungle to face off against Paulding’s Lady Panthers in GMC Volleyball action. Paulding came in on a three-game winning streak. The Lady Raiders of Wayne Trace were looking for their first win in this Conference match-up against their county rivals.
COLUMBUS GROVE – Cross Country featured a busy weekend for the local schools as a pair of schools took part in the Columbus Grove Invitational while the third school ran in a night race for the first time.
PAYNE – Konnor Wannemacher shot a 37 to lead the Wayne Trace boys golf team to the championship of the Wayne Trace Boys Golf Invitational Thursday at Pleasant Valley Golf Course outside of Payne.
WOODBURN – Wayne Trace senior Reagan McGarvey took match medalist honors at the Green Meadows Conference girls golf match Tuesday at Pond-A-River Golf Course in leading the Lady Raiders to a first-place finish.
CELINA – Wayne Trace’s girls and boys golf teams hit the road on Friday as the Lady Raiders took part in the Celina Invitational while the Raider boys played Lincolnview in Van Wert.
PAYNE – Wayne Trace opened the 2025 dual match portion of the 2025 boys high school golf season on Friday with a 168-201 win over Fairview at Pleasant Valley Golf Course outside of Payne.
SHERWOOD – Fairview scored the first eight runs of the game and then held off a late Wayne Trace comeback for an 8-6 victory Monday night in ACME tournament baseball action.
SHERWOOD – The ACME sectional tournament saw a pair of Green Meadows Conference members square off at Fairview High School Sunday evening with visiting Wayne Trace blanking the Apaches 1-0.
SHERWOOD – In the ACME tournament opener on Saturday, Wayne Trace blanked North Central 11-0 to advance to the winner’s bracket final.
